This is a ship that was forced onto the old Steamship Dock area, now the State Pier. behind it's stern would be Merrill's Wharf.
The tidal surge in the harbor was about 12ft.
In the enlargement you can see the sign for C.F Beckman's on Commercial Street, a local supplier of gear and electronics etc for the fishing and other industry.
See map below: Urban renewal has changed a lot of the area but Commecial Street with C.F Beckman's building is still there though at this time (2011) the business has closed.
