1930 Standard Stores
New Bedford, Ma.

This picture is of a 1930 scene with 4 well dressed dapper folks in front of the store.
As of 4-16-2011 I am still looking for more information about the photo.

The stores were located at 1483 Acushnet Avenue and 674 Pleasant St.
The Acushnet Ave. location has since has been demolished.

Now the group of several stores is gone and there is a gas station located there.
The business was managed by a Mr. Beserosky.

An enlargement shows that they sold Majestic Radio's.
In 1948 The Chartier family had a Majestic TV. It was a popular brand in those days.
