1897 Picture of
Citizens National Bank - New Bedford, Ma.
The business was located on the north-west corner of North Second and Willam Streets.
In the last years of the 1900's and into the 21st century the building had become a barroom known as hte
Peguod Lounge and since 1979 it has been the Freestones City Grill a wonderful restaurant/bar that some
have called the "Cheers" of New Bedford.
Directly across the street is the side of the fine cut granite
customs house building which faces No. Second St.
